US Gov't Students Attend School Board Meeting

Students in Mr. John Greenberg's American Government and Politics classes attended a variety of public meetings for a "real world" experience in local government. The students pictured above with 30-year Board veteran Bud Buchman attended a recent meeting of the Stillwater School Board. Students listened, took some observation notes, and made a presentation before their class.

    The meeting, in my opinion, is a very simple way to get involved in your community and to be able to firsthand see government is in action. People in this day and age are to concerned with themselves and miss out on oppurtunities to get involved with their social surroundings.
